Ujuaku Akukwe

Ujuaku Akukwe is the Founder of the Eastern Nigeria Film and Arts Initiative (ENFAI) and the Eastern Nigeria International Film Festival (ENIFF), a pioneering hybrid hub in Africa dedicated to equipping youth with essential skills in film, media, and technology. With over 16 years of experience as an impact producer and documentary filmmaker, Ujuaku blends her expertise with a deep passion for storytelling and social impact.

An Acumen Fellow and TEDx speaker, Ujuaku is also the author of Nuts and Bolts of Parenting, a comprehensive guide that empowers parents with practical tools for nurturing successful children. She is the Co-founder of the Black Origin Storytellers Initiative, a platform that amplifies Black voices, celebrates Black histories, and unites communities as we reimagine Blackness through storytelling, arts, and culture.

As a multidisciplinary cultural consultant and historian, she specializes in digital media, cultural heritage, and education, creating compelling content that bridges historical contexts, fosters cultural integration, and connects Africa to the world.

Her work focuses on African ways of being, seamlessly blending tradition and modernity to engage diverse audiences. She collaborates extensively across the media, corporate, and educational sectors, ensuring accurate cultural representation and driving diversity in every project.

Ujuaku is also the Co-founder of Screen Lab Africa and serves on the board of the Ocean-Blue Food Initiative, where her creative strategies fuel impactful programs and initiatives.
